LAWRENCE HIGHLIGHTS
- Food Day Festival
- Please join us for the 6th annual Lawrence Food Day Festival this Thursday, October 19 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm.
This FREE event will be held in **both** the Big Gym and the Lawrence School Garden.

- PTO Phonathon
- The PTO’s largest fundraiser of the year is the phonathon. We will be making calls the evening of Monday, October 23. We will only call families that have not yet made a donation. Please consider making your donation this week. Our goal is for 100% participation from families. Thanks for your Lawrence Loyalty!

- First class to 100% participation will enjoy a picnic lunch with Principal Hart and Vice Principal Horst. Second class to 100% participation will enjoy a snack with them.
- 9th School Update
- The Board of Selectmen and School Committee will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, October 16th at 7:00 PM at the High School auditorium.

- Oh no! I missed the Halloween Costume Swap and have other costumes to donate!
- Don’t sweat it. The Green Team will be collecting any costumes you would like to donate from now through the week AFTER Halloween. Please drop them in the bin in the hallway and we will sell them next year! Thanks to everyone who donated and shopped with us this year. You have helped to make the world a little greener.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
- Food Day Festival, Thursday, October 19

- Annual Brookline School Staff Children’s Center FUN FAIR
- October, 14 10:00am-1:00pm, Brookline School Staff Children’s Center at the Baldwin School Field, 490 Heath St. The Fun Fair has games, crafts, food and great outdoor fun for children ages birth-7 years old. The cost is $20 a family and it includes food and all the activities.

- Planning for a Changing Brookline Survey
- Please share your values and visions for the Town of Brookline as well your thoughts about identifying potential, mixed-use development sites in our commercial areas. The survey and other information related to this initiative can be found at mapc.ma/PlanBrookline. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete, and the link will be open until October 27, 2017.
