- Principal Search Update
Thanks to everyone who sent in their application to be considered for principal search committee selection. We received a strong pool of candidates which made it a very difficult decision to make, but at the same time we felt very strong as a community to have involved parents like you. Lawrence School PTO officers, Board members and School Council members have chosen the parent representatives for the principal search to be as follows:

- Makeeba McCreary (Chosen by SEPAC)
- Principal search open meeting for parents.
- Superintendent Andrew Bott is holding a Q&A session on Monday March 27th at 8:15 am in the school library. The purpose of this meeting is to get input and ideas from parents on the type of person and leader our community wants as the next principal. Please try to attend this meeting. Your voice is welcome and valued.
- Extending Deadline for Annual School and District Family Feedback Surveys
- This survey is a way for you to provide valuable and helpful feedback about the climate, culture, and leadership here at Lawrence and in the district.
- If you have not received an email with a link to the survey please email support+brookline@panoramaed.com to make sure you can complete the survey.
- PTO Online Auction Is Underway – Ends Sunday, March 19th 2017 midnight.
- We have many items to choose from: Summer Camps, music lessons, restaurants, grocery bundles, sports, entertainment and more.

- Please bring used books to the book cart in the Lawrence lobby.

- The PTO’s Nomination and Election Committee has started a call for PTO leadership nominations.
The Committee will be hosting intermittent information tables in the lobby at drop-off starting March 20th. You can direct immediate questions or nominations to Chris Deister (cdeister@gmail.com).

- BEF 5th-Grade Spelling Bee Recap
- Congratulations to the talented fifth-graders we had at the 20th Annual Brookline Education Foundation Spelling Bee on Sunday, March 12! 54 spellers from all eight elementary schools battled it out in our longest bee yet, going 14 rounds until our winner, Alana Cummings of Driscoll, spelled “mediocre” to take first place. Quinn Kennedy of Runkle finished second. Congratulations to all the participants, who made this event our most successful Spelling Bee yet! Thank you!

- The driveway is intended for trash pick-up and deliveries only and is not designed for cars to turn around in. There has been recent complaints from the residents of this street! Please be mindful and respectful to the residents of Newell Rd.
