We invite you to join VOICES Boston, Brookline’s premier children’s chorus, for our annual Sounds of the Season concert on Saturday, Dec. 17th at 3:00pm at First Parish in Brookline! The program will feature Benjamin Britten’s “A Ceremony of Carols,” and many other holiday favorites! Featuring all five of our ensembles of ages 5-14, pianists Anat Hochberg and Katie Barr, harpist Franziska Huhn, and conductors Dan Ryan and Steven Lipsitt, this concert will be a true musical celebration.
With singing at its core and training in dance and drama, VOICES Boston changes the lives of its children, building confidence, discipline, leadership and a love of music that will last a lifetime. VOICES Boston choristers perform a wide range of repertoire, from classical to world music, gospel to new music and present an opera every year.
Join Lawrence's New Family Welcome by being a first point of contact to families new to Lawrence. The welcome team is in search of 1 or 2 more members to help with school tours, showing new families around the school and answering any questions they may have. Tours currently occur one Tuesday per month at 8:15 (after drop-off) and one Thursday at 1:40 (before pick-up), so anyone who can commit to two or three of those per semester would be a big help! The welcome team would appreciate any help, but is seeking a middle school parent/caregiver, in particular, to add to the range of experience available to new families. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to get involved.
