Climate change and methane gas leaks from the natural gas distribution system represent an urgent threat to the trees of New England. Dr. Pam Templer will present the results of her research at BU on the current and future effects of rising temperatures on forests in New England, and Mr. Oladapo-Johnson will describe the Emerald Necklace Conservancy’s efforts to reduce damage to trees caused by methane leaks.
