Learn To Play Bluegrass/Traditional Music with a Ensemble of Brookline Families (a.k.a., The Muddy River Ramblers)
Join our group of Brookline families as we learn and play bluegrass and traditional music during engaging “jam session” classes. Three professional musicians play a song then teach it by ear to our violin (fiddle), cello, and guitar/ukulele players. Banjos and mandolins are also welcome. Classes are hosted about every other week by members. The first of seven classes is on January 31 (3:00 to 4:30). For more information, contact Kate Risse (email@example.com) and Rob Guillemin (firstname.lastname@example.org) or visit our website at http://www.sites.google.com/site/familyfolkjam/home

NEW FAMILY WELCOME POINT PERSON:
Join Lawrence's New Family Welcome by being a first point of contact to families new to Lawrence. The welcome team is in search of 1 or 2 more members to help with school tours, showing new families around the school and answering any questions they may have. Tours currently occur one Tuesday per month at 8:15 (after drop-off) and one Thursday at 1:40 (before pick-up), so anyone who can commit to two or three of those per semester would be a big help! The welcome team would appreciate any help, but is seeking a middle school parent/caregiver, in particular, to add to the range of experience available to new families. Please email email@example.com to get involved.
