We need your help making 1000 origami cranes for SET-J!
The “Sending Educators To Japan” program, which is funded by the PTO, has been sending Lawrence teachers to Japan since 2002.
Click here (http://lawrenceschoolbrookline.org/pto/set-j/) to learn more about SET-J.
This year, Ms. Terry Jewell (Literacy Specialist for Grades 3-5) is going to Japan in June.
Please help her bring 1000 origami cranes ,”Senbazuru” to present to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum.
“Senbazuru” means 1000 origami cranes, so we need to make 1000 cranes using origami (Color paper size 6×6 inch. Please don’t use the black color paper).
It’s a great chance to learn to make paper cranes with your kids!
Any amount is appreciated, please bring your origami cranes in the box at ELL on the 2nd floor by Feb. 22nd.
If you don’t have any origami, you can pick it up at ELL and make it at home.
We’d really appreciate it if you could join this project with us!
If you have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

NEW FAMILY WELCOME POINT PERSON:
Join Lawrence's New Family Welcome by being a first point of contact to families new to Lawrence. The welcome team is in search of 1 or 2 more members to help with school tours, showing new families around the school and answering any questions they may have. Tours currently occur one Tuesday per month at 8:15 (after drop-off) and one Thursday at 1:40 (before pick-up), so anyone who can commit to two or three of those per semester would be a big help! The welcome team would appreciate any help, but is seeking a middle school parent/caregiver, in particular, to add to the range of experience available to new families. Please email email@example.com to get involved.
