December 1, 7 p.m. BHS Martin Luther King Room

B-PEN is hosting a meeting for LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning) families and allies. The goal of this initial discussion is to bring together parents of LGBTQ students and talk about ideas for supporting the health and emotional wellbeing of our students. Gender, sexual identity, and LGBTQ life can be very confusing.

    • Do you have questions or concerns?
    • Are you looking for resources for yourself or your child?
    • Would you like to meet other parents with shared experiences?
    • Are you looking for ways to connect your child into a larger community of LGBTQ students?
    • Do you have ideas and suggestions?

Please join us on December 1, 2015 at 7 p.m. in BHS’s Martin Luther King Room. Hope Schroy, BPEN social worker, will facilitate the meeting.
If you are unable to attend and would like to be part of the process, contact Hope Schroy (617-713-5155, hope_schroy@brookline.k12.ma.us). If your child would like to speak to someone, they or you can contact Jorge Membreño in Room 149 (617-713-5149, jorge_membreno@brookline.k12.ma.us.)
