Keynote speakers Jeanette Deutermann, mom and founder of Opt-Out Long Island and Ricardo Rosa, professor of education at UMass, along with Brookline educators, will discuss MCAS testing, addressing questions such as:

What is MCAS? Is it required?
How has the MCAS changed public education in Brookline?
What are the facts about MCAS and equity?
Does my child really need to practice taking standardized tests?
Does the MCAS enrich or impoverish our children’s experience in the schools?

Childcare is available. Light refreshments at 6:30. For more information or to RSVP, visit http://www.ourbrooklineschools.org

Presented by the Brookline Parents Organization, Citizens for Public Schools, and the BEU.
