Petition Letter to School Committee
A letter addressed to the Brookline School Committee has been drafted by concerned Lawrence parents, and we hope you will add your signatures. The letter expresses parents’ appreciation for Lawrence teachers and urges the rapid resolution of negotiations with the Brookline Educators’ Union. Given the urgency of the situation, please read and sign the letter online at http://bit.ly/1pDyxWfbefore next Monday, March 28.
Also, as contract negotiations between Brookline teachers and the town drag on, having parents present at upcoming School Committee meetings – to speak, or just to listen – might spur some progress. Please consider signing up for one or more upcoming meetings, to let both SC and teachers know Brookline parents support a resolution. We owe it to our kids!  Thank you!

Brookline Neighborhood Alliance Meeting
Monday March 21, 6:30pm, School Committee Rm, 5th floor, Town Hall.
Roger Blood, Chair of Brookline HAB (Housing Advisory Board) will give an overview of Brookline’s proposed HPP (Housing Production Plan).
Such a plan, if accepted by the Commonwealth, may increase Brookline’s ability to guide the location and scale of Chapter 40B affordable housing development as market forces propel the Town toward its 10% affordability goal.  Roger will talk about why this is a timely undertaking, what it entails, and what its desired outcomes are.  There will also be time for questions and answers.
