Want to know how your kids are learning to read and write? Find out at our next PTO Meeting on Tuesday January 21, 8:00 a.m. in the library. Don’t miss an informative presentation on “Literacy Learning at Lawrence” given by our Literacy team, including Jill Demsey, Terry Jewell, Dianne Muendel and Pam Tully.

Family Fun Night is coming up on Friday, February 7th, and the FFN team is looking for donations for this years’ raffle. The raffle theme is “The Days are Getting Longer! Beat the Winter Blues, Get Out and Have Some Fun!” and we’re looking for tickets, gift cards or other items that encourage our Lawrence community to be active all year long. Examples might include

  • Sports tickets (professional or college)
  • Theater or movie tickets?
  • Museum passes/OMNI theatre tickets
  • Unopened games or craft kits?
  • Gift cards (especially to bookstores and similarly stimulating or healthy enterprises)

Please contact Maureen Fallon if you are able to make a donation or would like to help with Family Fun Night.

Similarly, the Lawrence PTO’s annual online auction begins on Family Fun Night and runs through March 2. Auction items are generously donated from our surrounding community but we always need more! We work in coordination with the FFN raffle team — meaning we share all donated items and proceeds benefit you, the Lawrence community. We are requesting donations of goods or services such as sports team tickets, recreational classes, camps, lessons, gift cards, or other service to item you might provide. Anything you might contribute would be much appreciated and all proceeds support the PTO and your children’s classrooms and activities here at Lawrence.
