School Committee to Consider Appointing Interim Deputy Superintendent for Student Services

Next week the School Committee will be considering Superintendent Bott’s recommendation to name current Co-Director of Special Education Casey Ngo-Miller to be the Interim Deputy Superintendent of Student Services. The School Committee is working with Brookline’s Special Education Parent Advisory Council to publicly interview and get input on Ms. Ngo-Miller before they discuss and possibly vote on her appointment at their regularly scheduled School Committee meeting on Thursday, April 26.

Parents and guardians are invited to attend any of the four public meetings that have been scheduled. Those who attend a public interview will be able to provide input to the School Committee. These meetings are scheduled as follows:

  • Monday April 23 8:15 a.m – 8:45 a.m. Hosted by the School Committee; Town Hall, 5th Floor, School Committee Room
  • Monday, April 23 9:00 a.m – 10:00 a.m. Hosted by SEPAC to seek input from the public; Brookline High School, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Room
  • Tuesday, April 24 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Hosted by SEPAC to seek input from the public; Runkle School, Martin Sleeper Library
  • Thursday, April 26 – School Committee Meeting. School Committee scheduled includes a discussion and possible vote on Ms. Ngo-Miller’s appointment
