CHILDREN’S CLASSES AT THE BROOKLINE BALLET SCHOOL – REGISTER NOW FOR FALL SESSIONS!
‘Mommy & Me’ Movement (~2-3y) – Fridays 10:30-11:15am (September 25 through November 6, 2015)
A class for children accompanied by a parent/caregiver, to expand toddler’s natural creativity, love of music, movement and expressiveness. Toddlers feel the music, using their bodies to express emotion and to explore how their bodies can move. The class’ music and movement provide a mix of structured activity and pure fun to keep your child engaged and moving along with you to the beat of the music.
Creative Dance (3-4y) – Saturdays or Sundays, 9-9:45am or 10-10:45am (September 12 through December 20, 2015)
Creative Dance will allow children to gain awareness of music, rhythms, and movement through activities designed to develop coordination, strength and artistry. Students will be encouraged to explore their self-expression with the use of imagery and props in a controlled environment. These classes are also an ideal first experience of structured learning for dance and sport.
THE BROOKLINE BALLET SCHOOL was founded in 2010 by two Driscoll families. The school is located at 1431 Beacon Street, T-accessible/walking distance from Lawrence School. Our Children’s Program offers movement and dance classes for girls and boys ages 2 to 6. Our Youth Ballet Program (7-18y) offers ballet classes through the Pre-professional level. Our Adult Program offers classes for adults of all levels, as well as Ballet Barre & Conditioning and Zumba.
Join Lawrence's New Family Welcome by being a first point of contact to families new to Lawrence. The welcome team is in search of 1 or 2 more members to help with school tours, showing new families around the school and answering any questions they may have. Tours currently occur one Tuesday per month at 8:15 (after drop-off) and one Thursday at 1:40 (before pick-up), so anyone who can commit to two or three of those per semester would be a big help! The welcome team would appreciate any help, but is seeking a middle school parent/caregiver, in particular, to add to the range of experience available to new families. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to get involved.
