AHU (After Hours U)

After Hours University (AHU)
Grades 4-6 from 3:30-5:10pm
(Students have option to attend Lawrence Homework Center from 2:30-3:30pm)

The After Hours University Program is an academic enrichment after-school option open to all Lawrence students in grades 4-6. The program is held three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) from 3:30 to 5:10pm.  All AHU students have the option to attend the Lawrence Homework Center from 2:30-3:30pm, and then go on to AHU afterward. At AHU, they will receive a snack and have a half hour of recess, before engaging in an enrichment activity. Enrichment activities are varied, hands on, theme based, and broken into 12-week units (past enrichments units have included: Science Experiments, AHU newspaper, Karate, Board Game design, Sports Leadership, and many others). On half days, AHU runs from dismissal to 5:10pm, and they use this time to take field trips and have special events. For information on the program, contact Chris Hamill (Chris_Hamill@brookline.k12.ma.us). Space is limited, and spots are filled on a first come, first served basis, with priority given to Steps to Success kids.
